Happy Birthday Eli!!

Today my oldest turns 15.  It doesn't seem possible.  I am really getting this old?  Yes, I think I may be.

When I look at him, sometimes I still see the mischievous, white haired toddler he was.  The one that dressed like Joe from Blues Clues and would act out Nightmare Before Xmas when he watched it everyday.  They sure grow up too fast.  Eli is an amazing kid!  He is super smart, creative, witty and has my warped sense of humor.  He reminds me often that even though I may think something isn't gonna work, he will find a way.  I am so proud of the man he is becoming.  He stands up for what he feels is right.  He doesn't buy into what others may say until he looks up the facts for himself.  He is one of the few people that can shock or surprise me.  I love you Eli, always, no matter what.  And no matter how old you get, you are still my baby boy.

On to his card.  I used the guitar card file from the Silhouette store for the card.  I used the Silhouette sketch pen in silver for the inside sentiment on the black cardstock.  I did the outline in the SSDE and cut it out with my Cameo.  I added red and white homemade enamel dots.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Lawn Fawn So Much to Say stamp set.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and embossed it.

Now to go dry my eyes and ice his cake.

Thinking of You

My sweet friend T.R.'s oldest daughter was in a  really bad car accident recently.  Julia is such a fighter who has come an amazing distance so far and still has a long way to go.  I wanted to let Trisha know that I am thinking of them and sending love their way 24/7.  The family has a Go Fund Me account set up to help with the expenses, every little bit helps.  Trisha is a wonderful woman.  She has a heart of gold and really is one of the people that I admire more than I can ever express, due to her unselfish heart.  She is a wonderful mom to her own children (including the ones that she didn't give birth to) and also a surrogate mother.  I don't really know Julia well, but I have known Trisha Rose for almost 30 years and from what I hear, Julia is as fabulous as her Momma.  T.R., whether you ever see this post or not, I love you my sweet friend and I am thinking of you and your beautiful family.  Sending love and healing energy y'alls way!

The stamps and dies I used are from Lawn Fawn, Hedgehugs and Penelope's Blossoms.  I so love Lawn Fawn.  I used my Copic markers to color the hedgehogs.  I also used Wink of Stella, clear embossing powder and ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for looking!
