Deer Themed Pocket Letter

This is my second pocket letter.  I just got it mailed out to go halfway around the world to Belgium.  I had a blast making it.  I love the woodland critters, but had trouble finding just what I wanted at first.  Then it all came together.  Love it when that happens.  I used a Harper Finch file to make the cute deer paper clip.  I think that is my favorite piece.

Glitter Wine Glasses

I love the pretty wine glasses that so many people were making, so I had to try it too.  I made these two glasses for two very special teachers.  Mrs. Redford and Mrs. Cochuyt are the teachers that are doing the Lego Robotics Team at my sons' school.  They are the best!  We love them!

Charlie the Elf

Charlie, our Elf on the Shelf, loves to leave gifts for the kids.  This year, I helped him make them a  few things.  They loved it! Dylan loves elves, one night he asked Charlie if he could bring him a hat like his.  He was so happy when the very next morning he got it.

Pocket Letters

I recently got into Pocket Letters.  They are an awesome way to share your love for creating and crafting and meet other people all over the world.  I have completed my first swap, got the 2nd in the mail and working on the 3rd.  My first swap was a Christmas themed Pocket Letter.  Here is the one I made to send to my partner.  I used alot of Harper Finch files and Stinking Cute Paper Piecing files for this one.

I had so much fun doing this one I couldn't wait to do the next one.

Thanks for looking!

Fall Door Hanging

I love fall!  It is my favorite!  I made this to go on our door this year.  Not a wreath, but I love it.  I know, it is now January.  This was on the door until after Thanksgiving.  I am a bit behind.  I hated to take it down.  Can't wait to put it back up!

Thanks for looking!

Thanksgiving Plate

I got inspired by the posts of the Skilled and Chilled Silhouette Facebook page, so I tried a plate.  I love how it turned out.  The sentiment is from the Silhouette store.

In This House, We Do Geek

In our house we are a bunch of nerds.  And very proud of it.  We think we are cool as hell.  But still, nerds.  We are smart.  We love to learn.  We love science.  And sci-fi.  And fantasy.  Dragons, we really love dragons.  Legos to Legolas, Star Wars to Star Trek, Dungeons and Dragons to Disney castles.  We love to dress up and imagine and create. I made this to go on our family room wall.  I used distress paints on canvas and then vinyl for the lettering.  Weeding the words was a bitch.  But it was worth it.

"In this house, we believe in magic.
We have epic adventures
and unexpected journeys.
Once upon a time
and in galaxies far, far away.
We do wibbley, wobbley timey, whimey stuff while
going where no one has gone before.
We assemble and defend.
We know the answer to everything is 42
and that the odds are ever in our favor.
We never say die.
We do cosplay and fun.
We aim to misbehave
and we don't care what others think.
Because in this house,
we do GEEK!"
