Happy Birthday Eli!!

Today my oldest turns 15.  It doesn't seem possible.  I am really getting this old?  Yes, I think I may be.

When I look at him, sometimes I still see the mischievous, white haired toddler he was.  The one that dressed like Joe from Blues Clues and would act out Nightmare Before Xmas when he watched it everyday.  They sure grow up too fast.  Eli is an amazing kid!  He is super smart, creative, witty and has my warped sense of humor.  He reminds me often that even though I may think something isn't gonna work, he will find a way.  I am so proud of the man he is becoming.  He stands up for what he feels is right.  He doesn't buy into what others may say until he looks up the facts for himself.  He is one of the few people that can shock or surprise me.  I love you Eli, always, no matter what.  And no matter how old you get, you are still my baby boy.

On to his card.  I used the guitar card file from the Silhouette store for the card.  I used the Silhouette sketch pen in silver for the inside sentiment on the black cardstock.  I did the outline in the SSDE and cut it out with my Cameo.  I added red and white homemade enamel dots.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Lawn Fawn So Much to Say stamp set.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and embossed it.

Now to go dry my eyes and ice his cake.

Father's Day Card For My Daddy

I not only have an awesome stepdad, but my Daddy is pretty dang awesome too!  I have seen a few biggest fan cards lately and loved them.  I thought this would be great for my Dad.  I used Wink of Stella on the fan blades and glossy accents on the controls.  The blue dot in the middle is homemade.

Father's Day, Part Deux

I have an amazing step dad.  He really is awesome!  I know he loves me to put up with me!  I used a file from the Silhouette store to make the card.  I think the sentiment really sums up not only him, but Jason as well.  I really love that they are the men that they are.

Father's Day

I have a few Father's Day cards to share so  I will do them one a day.  The first one is a for Jason, my fiance.  He is an amazing Dad to my kids.  He may not have been there from the start, but he is the one that is here and that has been the best influence on them.  Don't know what we would do without him.  We all love him so much!  Since we are all geeks in our family...I had to go with Yoda.

I used a Yoda svg from a SVGCuttingFiles past blog hop.  I love this company!  Not only do they have amazing files in their store, but awesome blog hops too.  I did print and cut and layering to make Yoda and added glossy accents on his nose.

Mum's Day

I am late posting for Mother's Day, but the card was on time.  I love my Mum!  My Mum is my best friend now that I am an adult.  As a teen, I gave her hell and I regret it.  I can't imagine where I would be without her.  Thank you Mummy, I love you!

I used an image from Tiddly Inks, Aww Thanks.  I love Tiddly Inks, they have so many great images.  I colored it with my Prisma Color pencils and cut it out with my Cameo.

Video Game Controller Card

My oldest son's friend Cody had a birthday last month.  Eli wanted to make a card based off of a youtube show they like.  Cody is also into the mustaches and loves the color hot pink.  I used a Silhouette file for the controller. The mustache is popped up with foam squares.

Thinking of You

My sweet friend T.R.'s oldest daughter was in a  really bad car accident recently.  Julia is such a fighter who has come an amazing distance so far and still has a long way to go.  I wanted to let Trisha know that I am thinking of them and sending love their way 24/7.  The family has a Go Fund Me account set up to help with the expenses, every little bit helps.  Trisha is a wonderful woman.  She has a heart of gold and really is one of the people that I admire more than I can ever express, due to her unselfish heart.  She is a wonderful mom to her own children (including the ones that she didn't give birth to) and also a surrogate mother.  I don't really know Julia well, but I have known Trisha Rose for almost 30 years and from what I hear, Julia is as fabulous as her Momma.  T.R., whether you ever see this post or not, I love you my sweet friend and I am thinking of you and your beautiful family.  Sending love and healing energy y'alls way!

The stamps and dies I used are from Lawn Fawn, Hedgehugs and Penelope's Blossoms.  I so love Lawn Fawn.  I used my Copic markers to color the hedgehogs.  I also used Wink of Stella, clear embossing powder and ribbon from my stash.

Happy Birthday Mummy!

My Mummy's birthday is May 22.  Once again, the card was on time, the post is a bit later.  Since we had gotten chickies around the beginning of April and have totally fallen in love with them I thought this was the perfect birthday card.  Honestly, Mum and I are afraid of farm animals.  We really wanted to have fresh eggs though.  They are so much better than store bought ones.  So we ended up getting 4 hens and 6 baby chicks.  We figured if we raised the babies from the start, we might not be as afraid of them.  If someone had told us 6 months ago that we would enjoy having chickens we would have thought they were nuts.  We really do enjoy them though.  They are funny to watch them play, the kids hold them and play with them.  They have very distinct personalities.    Who knew.

The chickie on the card is from KaDoodle Bug Designs, Birthday Chicks.  They have so many fun and cute designs.  I love them!!  i used my clear Wink of Stella pen to give it some sparkle.  I put it on an action wobble to give it a bit of action.  I think the wobbles are so cute.  One day I hope to get a picture of the action, but so far, I haven't.  I am going to enter this card in the Wobble Wednesday Anything Goes challenge.
